GROUP TANGO CLASSES
Tango is a social dance, whose audience covers all generations and all social classes.
The group classes are a point of learning and fundamental socialization, where we learn besides dancing, to respect the codes of the Milonga (social space of Tango) and to confront ourselves with the difficulties and the achievements of the group in a place of collaboration.
In each class we give the right space to each component of the dance: the technique, the music and the couple’s dance.
It is not necessary to attend as a couple, as it is also a good opportunity to get more in tune with classmates.
Frequently – although only for a small portion of the class – we work the role change (leader – follower), an extremely useful tool to better understand our own role.
Group classes are planned so that each student, according to their level, can participate, if they wish, more than once a week and can recover the classes they have lost at any other time of the week.
The levels are orientative, since within the same group, each student has a different learning time. Contact me to help you choose the most suitable group for you based on your level and availability.
Tango lessons for beginners:
These classes are aimed to those who wish to start taking the first tango steps or who have been dancing for some time but need to reinforce their bases or better define the main concepts of the couple dance. The program is progressive and covers fundamental elements, worked in a methodical way, however the depth of the classes always leaves room for fun and harmony in the group. This level is ideal to start and optimal for perfection. In turn, the classes for beginners are divided into two subgroups: Initiation (0-3 months of experience) and Beginners level 2 (3 months – 1 year of practice). The time reference is relative and depends on each student. When you are ready to pass the level, I will suggest that you join a more advanced group so that you continue to grow!
Remember that from time to time, even the most advanced students appreciate taking a class for beginners to continue improving.
Tango classes intermediate and advanced level:
In these classes, the couple technique, musicality and interpretation are worked in more depth through complex exercises, adapted, in the case of very heterogeneous groups, to the level of each student. A very valuable possibility, for those who do not want to renounce to the complexity of the movements but still have the need to strengthen their bases, is to combine the class for intermediate and advanced level with that of beginners. This level is ideal if you already have a good base and want to research more thoroughly, enjoying a collaborative environment with the rest of the group.
Technical classes
The technical classes are a fundamental complement for the couple classes. They are aimed for both, men and women, regardless of their level and consist of a individual part work and a partner part.
The structure of the technical classes includes the following sections:
- Warm up: speed, precision and musicality are worked
- Individual technique: placement, movement and its origin, studied in the smallest details
- Couple technique: the change of role is worked in order to deepen the aspect of connection
- Embellishments: technique is combined with musicality.
Although it is not essential to reserve in order to attend the class, a good schedule of the groups helps to improve the didactic planning.

PRIVATE TANGO CLASSES
If you wish to deepen in the individual study, solve specific doubts, correct bad habits within the dance, move at your own pace or simply complement and review in a personalized way what you learned in the group classes, one or more hours of private lessons are the ideal solution.
It is also possible to arrange semi-private classes for couples or small groups, of all levels.
